PopFitLife: After a two year hiatus, I’m starting up the blog again! I love reading blogs. I love writing blogs. I love discovering new blogs. Why did I ever stop?! I’ll tell you why actually. I would compare myself to bloggers I adore such as Julia Engel and Kathleen Barnes – and I didn’t see myself as a “blogger” when compared to them. They’ve been able to turn their social websites and media pages into full time careers which is absolutely amazing and very impressive! I’d see what they were doing and accomplishing, and it made me unhappy with where I was at. So, I gave up blogging completely. I know that makes absolutely zero sense, so I decided to jump back into things this month. Maybe I will only post once in a blue moon, but writing makes me happy.
Very Cavallari: The b*tch is back…again! Kristin Cavallari is doing reality tv once more, and I don’t hate it. I loved watching her on Laguna Beach and The Hills back in the day. Things are slightly different this time around – like a complete 180* from the Kristin we last saw eight years ago. She left California for Tennessee, is married (to Jay Cutler) with three kids, and has gone from being the b*tch to being the #bossbabe. The show focuses on her relationship with Jay and pals as well as the launch of her new company, Uncommon James. It premieres Sunday nights at 10pm on E!.
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: I don’t think I ever saw an episode of the original cast back in the day which was why I was a liiiittle hesitant when my friend, Angela, suggested I watch Netflix’s reboot of the show. However, it was love at first sight…of the Atlanta skyline! While I might be a little biased that the show takes place in my hometown, I absolutely adore it and recommend it for everyone. It’s just so full of love, happiness, and amazing one liners. Check it out even if it’s just to boost your mood after binging a scary serial killer documentary before bed. Seasons 1 and 2 are now available.
Arm & Hammer with OxiClean Laundry Detergent: If this were a person, I’d take it to Vegas and marry it immediately. Seriously. I don’t think I’ve ever loved anything more. The fresh scent lingers on my clothes and sheets for days and days after washing. I’ll get a whiff of the scent coming off my top mid-run and my face will light up like it’s Christmas morning. My family and friends used to think I was crazy (as I’m sure you do now…) until they experienced it for themselves. Use it. You’ll thank me later.
Adobe Lightroom App: I’ve been hearing about this app for a while from Instagram influencers, but it took a friend’s recommendation before I finally downloaded it. Life changing, y’all! I’ve gone through and edited a bunch of older photos that I didn’t think were great. Now, they are Instagram worthy! #latergram I really just auto edit and adjust the vibrancy – it doesn’t take much. The best part? It’s free!
Stay fit and fabulous,
A
I took Photo 1 at a photography school and after Photo 2 you take Lightroom. I had heard it was awesome and easy to use, so I need to get back into it so I can learn how to edit photos better. Glad you are liking it.
I’m going to try this laundry detergent.. i like the smell of Gain but it hasn’t been lingering on my clothes like I want it to. Glad you are back!
Can’t wait to see your photos! Let me know what you think about the detergent and if it beats Gain!
