Happy FriYAY! It was tough getting back to work in gloomy NYC this week after a weekend of fun in the sun in Florida! I feel like I’m just now getting back in my regular groove. Here are some things that brought a little sunshine to my week:
2016 Met Gala: The first Monday in May was this week which means all of the most fashionable celebrities made their way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2016 Met Gala kicking off the spring exhibition, MANUSxMACHINA. I was hoping to leave work around 5PM to claim a good spot to watch the red carpet arrivals, but with my crazy 22-ish hours of traveling on Sunday/Monday and working late, I didn’t make it. I checked out all of the red carpet photos though! Claire Danes wore my favorite dress (it glowed!) and Emma Watson rocked my favorite hair & make-up look.
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida: I spent last weekend lounging by the pool and beach in Ft. Lauderdale at my college roommate’s bachelorette party. The sun was out and the temperature was in the high 80s. It was absolutely wonderful! Now, I’m back in rainy and chilly NYC…
Pool Floats: The pool noodle is soooo 1990s. From pizza to donuts to ice cream sandwiches, crazy floats rule the pool now! My swan float (She got the name “Betty” over the weekend.) was quite the hit at this weekend’s bachelorette party and worth every penny on Amazon. It even arrived in 24 hours!
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Nick randomly threw this Netflix show on the TV one evening and we were both instantly hooked. Now in it’s second season, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is about a young woman who attempts to survive
make it in NYC after being rescued from an underground cult she has been in for the last fifteen years. Adjusting to NYC life is rough for anyone, let alone someone stuck in the year 2000! The show is witty and random. I definitely recommend it for a carefree, summer show.
A Snapchat Love Story: How cute is this Snapchat love story that happened on the University of Wisconsin Madison campus recently? #ModernRomance
Have a wonderful weekend!
Stay fit and fabulous,
