Happy FriYAY, everyone! Maybe it’s because of the three day weekend up ahead, but this week sure did creep along, no? I’m sticking around town this weekend to volunteer at the High Line and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. NYC is going to be a ghost town though, so I expect the next few days will be pretty quiet and relaxing. What are your weekend plans? Let me know in the comments below!
On to what I’m lovin’ this week…
Girl Meets World Intro: The cast of Girl Meets World made over their show’s intro with some nods to its predecessor, Boy Meets World. It was even directed by Ben Savage! I love that they kept the original GMW intro song though because it’s so freaking catchy. I think the revamped intro looks fantastic and it gets me even more hyped up for Season 3 to air next Friday evening at 8:30PM. The kids (and their teacher, Cory Matthews) are heading off to high school! Sounds familiar? :o)
Emack & Bolios: It’s finally feeling like summer up here which means it’s officially ice cream season! Nick and I headed to the Upper West Side’s Emack and Bolio’s for some crazy scoops. Well, Nick is simple and ordered two scoops of Oreo, but I got salted caramel chocolate pretzel ice cream in a Rice Krispy treat covered cone! Yum!
Summer Sunsets: The sunsets on the west side of Manhattan are unbelievable especially in the summer. They’ve stopped me in my tracks more times than I can count. Manhattanhenge (when the sunset lines up perfectly with the grid of Manhattan’s streets) is actually this Sunday and Monday. We will see if it can beat this gorgeous sunset from this week’s SurfYogaBeer run club (above).
The Real Housewives of Dallas: You guys know I’m already hooked on Bravo’s Southern Charm, but recently I started watching The Real Housewives of Dallas (which airs right after Southern Charm on Monday nights). It’s like a terrible car crash and I just can’t look away! The women are equal parts wealthy and insane. I’m hooked on their dumb drama surrounding Dallas’ “Charity World” as they like to call it. Am I the only one?
Georgia Trip: I’m still on Cloud 9 after my short trip to Georgia two weeks ago. I got to quickly show Nick around my hometown for a bit and then we went off to enjoy the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains for a wedding. I’m obsessed with Jessica’s wedding! From her wedding dress and shoes to the breathtaking mountain views, everything was absolutely perfect – just like the happy newlyweds.
Have a wonderful and safe MDW!
Stay fit and fabulous,
A
I need to watch that Desperate Housewives show!!
Err Real Housewives, not Desperate Housewives! haha
Let me know what you think! I got my mom hooked on RHOD and Southern Charm – she’s obsessed!
