This week has been crazy busy which is why I haven’t posted any blogs until this morning, so let’s just jump right into my favorites:
It’s Raining Celebrities: The Tribeca Film Festival is this week which means there are celebrities all over town (Well, more so than usual)! I saw Joss Whedon (Buffy and Avengers screenwriter and director), Mark Ruffalo (actor and fellow Upper West Side resident), and Robert De Niro (legend, no blurb needed) earlier this week and tonight I’m attending a talk with Tom Hanks and John Oliver. (I’ll write a post about my first TFF experience next week.) Also, as we were walking down the stairs to the subway on Monday night, Nick pointed into the pizza place on the corner. Sure enough, Michael Cera was in there purchasing a slice! #CelebsAreJustLikeUs
Are You Down To Have The Best Summer Ever?: Tone It Up released their 8-week program for this year’s Bikini Series last night. They lay out every meal, snack, and workout for their members to help them get in the best possible shape! I plan on following along with them but personalizing the plan to my own life as well (i.e. not following their exact recipes all the time and adding more cardio due to my upcoming races). The Bikini Series officially kicks off on Monday!
Be A Wildflower: A few months ago I listened to Drew Barrymore speak at an event and instantly developed a girl crush. I finally picked up her book, Wildflower, at the library last weekend. I’m only a few chapters in, but I absolutely adore it! Each short chapter is a snipit of Drew’s crazy life and her friends and family tribe. I learned a lot about her like how she was emancipated from her mother at age 14 and that she’s been friends with Cameron Diaz since they were both in their early teen years (Charlie’s Angels just made them closer).
Where I’ll Be Memorial Day Weekend: Disney announced that they will be airing a movie marathon in honor of their 100th made-for-TV movie! Now, I must admit I don’t remember a good number of these, but the ones I do remember will forever hold a special place in my nostalgic heart – the High School Musical series (Umm, yes!), the Zenon trilogy (LOVE!), Brink!, Motorcrossed (You bet those posters were all up on my walls as a kid)…The only odd thing about this historic weekend is that they aren’t playing the movies in chronological order, so the original HSM and Zenon films air on Monday after parts 2 and 3 have already played. Someone explain the reasoning behind this to me, please!
Bloguettes: For anyone interested in blogging or growing their company’s online presence, you must check out Bloguettes. They host (mostly West Coast) events and numerous webinars throughout the year. I keep begging them to hold a NYC event soon, but in the meantime I register for all of their webinars. (Update: They just announced their 2017 schedule – Austin, Phoenix, & Nashville.) I always leave the webinar sessions with some really good ideas and tips! The best part? They are only $10! Check Bloguettes out on all social media platforms.
Stay fit and fabulous,
