Happy FriYAY! It’s been a long, exhausting week, so I’m thankful for the weekend! I’m also grateful for the following things that brought a smile to my face during the last few days:
When Zombies Attach: Two brothers recently pranked their sister into thinking a zombie apocalypse was happening moments after she got out of surgery to remove her wisdom teeth. You’ll feel bad for the poor girl, but you will also laugh until you cry…
A New Favorite Workout: I’ve started taking Pilates on the weekends at the Studio at Athleta Flatiron, and I’m in love. I used to think there was no point to taking Pilates if you weren’t using a reformer machine, but boy I was wrong! We pulse crunches and leg lifts until I leave the studio having worked tiny muscles I didn’t even know I had.
Run, Alec, Runnn!: It’s official! I registered for my second runDisney Infinity Gauntlet Challenge on Tuesday with Nick. That means we will be running the Dr. Strange 10K on Saturday (previously the Captain America 10K) and the Avengers Half Marathon the following day. This will be my final half marathon of 2016 – rounding out my year with three under my belt.
#FreeConeDay: Ben & Jerry’s. Enough said.
Getting My Run On With SELF Magazine: I attended SELF Magazine’s run club on Wednesday evening. It was a gorgeous day for a sunset run along the water. I enjoyed meeting a bunch of new people during the chill three mile run. (That’s me in the grey shirt and pink arm band in the photo above running with a new friend!) The run club meets every other Wednesday through the end of June. If you’re a New Yorker looking to join, click here for more details. If you don’t live in the area, you can join virtually by running and then letting the world know using the #SELFRunClub hashtag on social media!
Sleep is on my agenda! What do you have planned for this gorgeous weekend? Let me know in the comments below!
Stay fit and fabulous,
A
After reading your post on the Disney Princess half marathon I’m seriously considering signing up for the disney world one in Jan! Do you recommend booking everything (hotel, tickets, etc) at one time through disney or doing it separate? I want to be able to save the most money!
Good luck on the avengers half!
Did you register? I suggest doing it separately – at least that’s what we do. I book hotel first since they sell out quickly and wait to get a good deal on flights. Princess registration opens this summer!
