You’re probably wondering why I dropped off the blogging planet. Or not. But, I’m going to tell you anyway…
A month ago, I began a new job in Midtown Manhattan. While searching for a new career, I had five main requirements I was looking for, and this one has them all. It really is a dream job! I’ve loved every minute of it for the past month, but it also means my writing time is restricted to nights and weekends. I’ve been so exhausted after long days that when I finally do get home at night I crash. No blogging. I haven’t even been watching my television shows! I know…who have I become?! (Thank goodness for Hulu and the television winter hiatus!) #adultproblems
The craziness from beginning a new job is starting to wind down a bit, and I’m getting into a routine with work, exercise, blogging, etc. Since my job takes up five days of my week, my weekends (aka prime blogging time) are usually packed with stuff too. Fun, #blogworthy stuff but still packed none the less…
For example, three weekends ago, I was out in Connecticut celebrating Katie’s birthday and “fake Thanksgiving” with my stepmom.
Two weekends ago, my friend Brittney (whom I met on the set of The Vampire Diaries three years ago – #NBD) came to visit. Our weekend was filled with bands, Broadway, and brunch.
Last weekend was Thanksgiving and I was able to fly home to Georgia and Tennessee for a bit. Five days. Four cities. Three States. The whole weekend pretty much consisted of eating, sleeping, enjoying family time, and listening to my new addiction – Serial podcasts – while driving in the car with my mom.
Being in the midst of holiday chaos, I’m not sure how much blogging I will accomplish. In addition, this week kicks off Disney Princess Half Marathon training, and if I’m going to run it in 1:51 minutes as my runDisney/proof-of-time projected, then I need to get my butt in gear!
Having said that, I am still aiming for three posts a week. With a little time management and help from my new Erin Condren life planner, I think I can make that work.
Stay fit and fabulous,
A
