I’m baaaccck! Unfortunately, I don’t have a cool excuse for my absence thus far in 2014. I didn’t get abducted by aliens or meet a handsome guy that swept me off to Europe for a backpacking adventure. Maybe one day… While 2014 is going along swimmingly so far, my life has basically consisted of work and exercise followed by a few hours of sleep if I can squeeze it in. I have no complaints about this, but it just doesn’t make for riveting blog posts, you know?
On to the updates…
Last weekend I went to Colorado for a quick vacay where I ate delicious food and learned to ski. Unfortunately, I didn’t take many photos, so I don’t have much to blog about. These are my favorites though:

I also laid eyes on the most fabulous dress which I will be saving for my first date with Jake Gyllenhaal or Leonardo DiCaprio – whoever asks first…
Now that I’m back from CO I’m focusing on saving money and downsizing my belongings in preparation for my big move into New York City. I’m aiming for April, and it can’t come soon enough. I literally keep NYC in the back of my mind during every decision I make. Manhattan rent ain’t cheap, but #YOLO!
You know what else isn’t cheap? Broadway tickets! I’ve already spent $300 on tickets to see Cinderella and The Bridges of Madison County this year. And I still want to see A Raisin in the Sun with my main man, Denzel Washington, Of Mice and Men with James Franco, Aladdin, and more. Thank goodness for Broadway Week! Tickets for select shows are buy one get one free starting tomorrow through February 6.

My birthday month is also quickly approaching, and as usual, I am ecstatic! Last year, I wanted to get BBQ and a movie which I never really did, so maybe I’ll attempt that. In addition, I’m planning a rave – full of dancing, glow sticks, candy necklaces, and awesomeness. I don’t care if 27 isn’t really significant, because I’m going all out anyway as usual.
|Last year I ran as Cindy, but I think I’m going to be Princess Aurora in 2014. Decisions, decisions… #brownhairdontcare|
Lastly, the Princess Half Marathon Weekend is at the end of February. This year I signed up to run the 5K, the new Enchanted 10K, and the half in one weekend. I figured I might as well make it a Hat Trick, right? #NBD When I signed up last year, I had plans to PR with a sub-2:00 half marathon, but I’ve run exactly 0 miles this year, so I don’t know how likely that will be. I need to get on it because the races are one month away! #excitement
How’s your new year going? Are you sticking with those resolutions? Let me know in the comments below!
