One of the coolest things about moving to New England is getting to experience New York City during the holidays. I’ve tried to snap a lot of photos whenever I see something festive, so I hope you enjoy the city at Christmastime too!
|The Rockefeller Christmas Tree is definitely a must-see. Did you know after the tree is taken down that the wood is donated to Habitat for Humanity?|
|I suggest grabbing some hot chocolate and treats from Jacques Torres. There is one located on the lower level of 30 Rock. It’s the perfect way to keep warm while watching the ice skaters or checking out the holiday window displays along 5th Avenue.|
|I hate to say it, but I forget what store window this is! I want to say this is Saks Fifth Avenue. These dresses were gorg though! I wish I had an event to wear them to. Dressing up is my favorite!|
|Many an engagement ring have traveled in and out of these doors on Gossip Girl…
Harry Winston had my favorite decorations this year. Unfortunately, this photo does the decorations zero justice. It was breathtaking.
|Of course Tiffany & Co. had to have my favorite window display! Their displays are really simple and gorgeous this year. I wonder if there is a lucky lady out there getting this lovely rock for Christmas or New Year’s Eve this year…
I hope you enjoyed the photos. I had planned to run 20 miles in the city before I had to head into my new job today, but I figured I could just do it next week (when hopefully people are on vacation). My mapped route is a 20-miler from Harlem to Brooklyn and everywhere in-between. I’ll keep a look out for more potential “Christmas in the City” photos! Any place you would specifically like to see? Let me know in the comments below!
Stay fit and fabulous,
