Life is getting busy! Not only did I just start a new job, but I also have two months until my first marathon, two weeks until I take the LSAT, and it’s the holiday season! I’m trying not to put my blog on the back burner on top of all of that as well. Even though I’m busy, there is always time for a little fun!
Saturday, I watched the Georgia Southern University vs. University of Georgia football game. They play every four years, so it is kind of a big deal for us GSU alumni (especially with GSU wanting to move to the FBS soon). I wish I could have been in Athens for the game, but ESPN3 had to do. Unfortunately GSU lost, but they did score more points on UGA than Vanderbilt, Florida, Ole Miss, and Auburn. Not bad at all!

I kicked off Sunday morning with the UBS Parade in downtown Stamford! I’ve never been to a parade like this before (just parades with floats), so it was a really cool experience. I imagine it is similar to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, but on a smaller scale. It was so fun! Check out some of the floats:
After the parade, I headed to a local sports bar to eat lunch and cheer on the Falcons to their 9th win! I just found out that if I go to this bar, they have all the games across the country even if my TV is only playing a certain game. This news came a little late in the season (previously I’ve been watching the plays on ESPN.com which is not that fun let me tell ya…), but I’m excited!
Sunday evening I headed into the city for a late night showing of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2! I knew they changed the ending from the book (which I always hate!), so I wasn’t sure what to think. It was actually really good – one of my favorite movie endings especially for a series! If the movie had ended as the book did, I probably wouldn’t have paid $15 to see that snore. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below if you’ve seen it! Also, while in NYC I heard “All I Want for Christmas Is You” blasting and I looked over to find my first holiday window display of 2012! I am seriously in love with this city…
In other random news, (if you haven’t noticed from my horribly obnoxious tweets) I dumped my Blackberry for the new iPhone 5! I was a little nervous because I was afraid of losing the phone number I’ve had for the last ten years and all my contacts. Thankfully, Verizon let me keep my T-Mobile number AND they worked their magic and switched all my contacts for me. #Christmasmiracle
The week got even better when I found out I don’t have to work on Friday, so I can go to Tennessee for Thanksgiving! My grandmother, mom, and I have been attending the Fantasy of Trees which benefits the East Tennessee Children’s Hopsital since I was in middle school. Plus, Thanksgiving foods are my favorite, and I would have hated to eat Chinese take-out solo! ;o)
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving week!
Stay fit and fabulous,
