My Friday Favorites posts have always included my favorite photos from Pinterest. I started these posts before Pinterest blew up, so I think people enjoyed this weekly tag. Now everyone and their mom is on Pinterest (mine is!), so I need to switch it up a bit. Instead, I will just list off a few of my favorite things each week.
The Return of Fall TV
I am so beyond excited that all of my favorite shows came back this week! All the premieres were so great, but I think Modern Family was my favorite so far. I’m sure Once Upon A Time and Revenge will give MF a run for it’s money though. And don’t even get me started on all of the CW shows coming in October (I love them too, but the 7 shows I’m currently watching will hold me over until then.)
Foodie Pen Pals Snacks
I can’t share any details yet since Foodie Pen Pals – September Reveal Day is scheduled for Monday. I can tell you that my goodies taste amazing, and I cannot wait for you to read all about them. I’ll give you a hint…they are sweet treats!
While I love being warm, I’ve really been enjoying the fall weather recently. Running in it is especially nice. Plus, it’s a reason to get some warm running clothes! Any suggestions of great cold weather clothes or layers? Let me know in the comments below!
Pep Talks From Friends
Sometimes I just need a good pep talk. I usually go to Donna, because I know she will tell me how it is. If it isn’t what I wanted to hear, she still helps me figure out how to turn it positive. Now, if only she would take her own advice! ;0)
While I have been looking forward to participate in May 2013’s 5 Boro Bike Ride for months now, I actually can’t remember the last time I rode a bike…until this weekend! We only got to ride for two miles before the rain, but I could not stop laughing the whole time. Riding bikes is awesome, and like I stated in my Miami Recap post, I now want one for Christmas!
I really might have a slight obsession with breakfast foods. I loved having a breakfast buffet in Miami every morning last weekend. Since I’ve been back I’ve been eating toast with apple cinnamon oatmeal – a perfect fall breakfast!
A reader recently e-mailed me about his next race – the Safari Park Half Marathon. The fundraising dollars from this race go toward caring for the rhinos at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Mat is trying to raise at least $300 for the rhinos. If you feel like donating, here is his fundraising page. If you are interested in running this race yourself, click here for the official race page. I think it sounds like a really fun half! Runners get to race through wine country, horse ranches, golf resorts, and a special part of the safari park that only runners get to see! It sounds like the the Big Five Marathon, but in the US!
