|Lily’s graduation from Petco training!|
This past Saturday, Lily graduated from Petco training classes! I went in to sign her up for classes at my local Petco at the beginning of December. I was expecting to do the 6 week puppy training class for about $109. I ended up getting her four private lessons for about $235. Personally, I think $235 for 4 hours is a lot, but now at the end of the sessions I can officially say it was well worth it! I think she learned more in 4 weeks than she would in the 6 week sessions.
Each session, David and I were so impressed with the trainer, Rose, and Lily! Because we paid more for private lessons, Lily had more personal time with the trainer and she was able to learn things that related to own puppy problems. In the past four weeks we learned so many things to make Lily the most well behaved dog at home, the dog park, out and about, etc. I can say “left” or “right” and Lily will go to that side. I can say “wait” and she will stay until I say “okay” to start eating her food. Obviously, Lily is not perfect yet. We still need to continue her training at home. Next, we plan on taking her to agility classes where she can learn to run through crazy courses like this:
Its basically an obstacle course for dogs! I’ll keep you posted on how the agility course goes! Do you have a dog? If so, how was your training experience? Let me know in the comments below! If you are looking for classes, I definitely recommend Petco. They’ve been so friendly and helpful since the day I adopted Lily and went there for her initial supplies.
