Sunday night was the BRITNEY SPEARS concert here in Atlanta! Britney’s …Baby One More Time concert was my first concert ever (if you don’t count LeAnn Rimes at the Midsouth Fair in Memphis, TN). In the beginning I actually wasn’t planning on going to the concert because tickets were expensive ($100 tickets at Justin Timberlake got you floor seats, $100 at Britney Spears got you second section from the floor). Fortunately, about a month ago, Groupon had a deal on half off Britney tickets! Who would have thought?! Amazing! I ended up going with three of my friends (pictured below), Elyse, Lauren, and Jessica. Don’t they look so cute? We met at Elyse’s apartment to carpool over to Phillips arena. Can you believe parking in some lots was $30?! We paid $12 to park at a Falcons game. Craziness! Anyway- we parked and got out tickets. People were already waiting in line at 5:30 to get inside. I don’t know what they were going to do for at least the next two hours since it wasn’t general admission or anything, but I guess some people were super excited? One guy was even bejeweled like Britney in her Toxic video. It must have taken him hours! There were some crazy costumes. After we got our tickets we stopped by the Q100 radio station tent. They took our picture in front of their step and repeat banner (below).
They wanted us to lip sync to one of Britney’s songs while they recorded it for their website. None of my friends would do it with me even though they said they would dance with me. Only Elyse ended up doing it, but she soon left. It was a lot of fun and I was actually just getting warmed up. I wish I had picked a different song though. Below is a video of me lip syncing to “I’m a Slave For You”, but I am only in it for a couple seconds.
Once inside we got Britney Fantasy perfume tattoos. They were pink and smelled wonderful!
Loved this guy’s shirt!
Ready for the show to start! Britney came on 45 minutes after her opening acts. I was getting sleepy because I didn’t get much sleep that morning with church and had TVD the next day, so I had to wake up at 4am!
Britney’s first outfit! She came out all sparkly and I loved it! Her costumes were amazing! It definitely made me want to take hip hop class. I wish I could be an amazing entertainer like Britney!
Her whole concert was similar to a movie. A guy was trying to hunt her down because she was like a sexy assassin killing guys all over the world. Below is her biker outfit.
This is her Egyptian outfit. It was really cool when all of her backup dancers came out like a boat on the Nile. Her dancers were really amazing and sometimes I was watching them instead because I swear they are trained Circ de Soleil dancers. (Speaking of Circ de Soleil: A Michael Jackson Circ show is coming to Atlanta!)
Britney ended with a black sparkly costume. She also busted out these angel wings…gorgeous! She did an encore number and it was amazing!
For her final song, she sang “Til the World Ends”. It had everyone on their feel singing along! It was the neatest thing ever. The energy was really amazing, everyone was dancing and singing. They shot glittery confetti into the crowd too (pictured below) , which made it more awesome! It was an all around great show. I definitely recommend buying tickets.
